Directing ‘The Hunchback of Berg Hayn’ from ‘Deathcember’

BIO

Bob Pipe is an award winning writer/director, producer and editor. His films include Film London funded multi-award winning short The Monster (starring Richard Glover & Helen George), indie-horror feature film Soul Reaper (available on Netflix and Amazon Prime), ‘The Hunchback of Burg Hayn’ (short film segment in Christmas themed horror anthology Deathcember) and Warwick Davis starring hit web series The Day They Came To Suck Out Our Brains! He has had short stories published in horror anthologies Castle Heights and Sweet Little Chittering. He is also the founder of cult sketch & character comedy night; The Forgery Club.

In March 2020, Bob co-founded Fox & Wizard, a visual effects studio with VFX Supervisor Jonathan Alenskas, continuing their collaboration from Bob’s films. They have created visual effects for clients as diverse as the BBC, DISNEY, HBO, BABYCOW, LEXUS, CANON and HIPGNOSIS.

Bob's background is in creating online content, specialising in comedy and has created virals with hundreds of thousands of hits. He has created content for the BBC, Channel 4, Sky Sports, Buzzfeed, ESPN, AOL, Huffington Post, Endemol, Samsung, BT, Sony, Magners, Children in Need and Arrow Films. 

In 2007 Bob co-founded ComedyBox.tv at Warner Music with comedy legends John Lloyd and Dan Schreiber. It was there he cut his professional teeth - producing, directing & editing hundreds of online comedy sketches with both established and up-and-coming comedians, including Jimmy Carr, Rhys Darby, Ricky Grover, Susan Calman, Sara Pascoe, McNeil & Pamphilon, Vikki Stone, Terry Mynott and Steve Mould.

Other notable producing/directing/editing credits include an official Elton John music video, The Voice UK's comedy highlights show, a sketch show pilot for The Comedy Unit (starring Sara Pascoe & Cariad Lloyd), Big Fat Gypsy Gangster (feature film starring Peter Capaldi, Steven Berkoff, Omid Djalili, Rufus Hound & Micheal Smiley), short films for Channel 4's Random Acts strand and BBC3's Love to Read season.
